Covid didn't stop us from our yearly family vacation. That year we rented the entire site for a week,and had so many fun, carefree, loving, adventurous, and sharing times. My husband, the host of our yearly event, sadly passed away this week. But the beautiful memories will never leave us. Thank you 3 Otters for being among them.

This place is amazing. I just came back from a weekend there and feel totally refreshed. It felt good to unplug and enjoy nature in such a beautiful setting. We took two relaxing and fun tubing trips and enjoyed our time in the river!

I loved the set up of the place. The bath houses were clean and beautifully maintained. The lodging was comfortable with a variety of different options to choose from (vintage trailers, campers, tents, a cabin and a yurt, all nicely decorated). There was a big open field where some of our group played kick ball. It was the perfect place to come and relax. I'd highly recommend it to any group big or small that's looking for a relaxing spot to get away and enjoy the outdoors.

We had a marvelous time at Three Otters. So good that we even extended our stay by a night because we didn't want to leave! Because we were there during the week, our family had the run of the entire place. We stayed in the beautiful yurt and the bed was incredibly comfortable--maybe better than my own! We cooked and ate in the grill pavilion (we thought we'd need to pay a little extra to use the River kitchen, but it turned out this suited us just fine--it has a sink with running cold water, gas grills and several refrigerators), lounged around the fire and in the screen porch (I read a book! For pleasure!), and played in the river. Total bliss! Rich and Teresa are wonderful hosts. Gracious and warm with a love of the place that really comes through in the way they interact with their guests. We took a float trip/hike with Rich (one of the most relaxing things I have EVER done) and our kids caught fish and tadpoles in nets. The river was shallow enough for my husband to walk across, and gentle enough that I didn't worry about my kids getting swept up in a current. The facilities are brand new, clean, beautiful and more than functional. Note: it is *very* remote. The last four miles in are on a dirt road that forces you to slowly and carefully navigate around small craters that fill up after it rains. We were fine in our sedan, but it was kind of an obstacle course. And it's really off the grid: no cell signal or wi-fi, no GPS mapping. Rich has a land line in the cabin for emergencies which made me feel secure. We are still singing the praises of this fantastic spot and these lovely people. We'll most certainly go back!

We loved staying at the Three Otters Eco retreat. Our bike shop went on a tour down the gap and C&O towpath and decided to spend a night indoors and we couldn't be happier with three otters. Teresa and the staff were incredibly nice and very accommodating. The cabin was very comfortable and the meals were great. Thanks again!!!

The owners and operators of this establishment were extremely helpful and hospitable. I come from a work background of hospitality in Charleston, SC at world ranked hotels. I loved every minute of of my stay at Three Otters Eco Retreat. The accommodates were great and well maintained.

Fun and clean accommodations. Amazing hospitality. Living on the Potomac, not camping. Take a ride on a tube or kayak down the river. 1 night ample, but 2 or more better. You'll be wanting to return.
