Wife and I moved into a house with a RadioRA2 Lutron system that was still tied to the previous account owner and would lock out anyone else from logging into the unit, preventing us from using the app and some of our house lights properly.
Lutron customer support assured us it was an easy fix but would need to be reset by a local contractor in order to keep our wireless switches connected. We searched their website for verified techs and immediately contacted Echo Workshop due to their location, quality reviews, and RadioRA2 certification.

We explained all of this to Echo Workshop when making an appointment and were told the owner himself would be coming to fix it for us (in a month) and they could not give us an estimate for service charges ahead of time but would be able to when they arrived on site.

A month later, we finally have someone arrive for service, where they waited on the phone with Lutron support to find out they needed to reset the system as explained during our original call. Unfortunately, they gave their computer equipment to someone else that day and would call us to set up a new appointment in the future. Unfortunately, they never called us back and we had to set up another appointment in 3 weeks-- again, still can't give us an estimate on cost yet, though.

Three weeks later, they arrive with a laptop and their tech waited on hold with Lutron support to figure out what they need to do again. They finally reset our system, forget to reconnect our hallway and guest bathroom lights back to our house (which can only be done on-site with a contractor account) and leave after saying they also weren't sure about charges because they're just a tech.

3 weeks later and we get a bill for $512 that does not mention the reset, claims 2.5 hours of "cleaning up wiring" in our house and "making everything more serviceable and safe". After follow-up with Pamela Cortes, we are assured this is the same as the tech waiting on the phone and the charges are correct, please pay now.

In the meantime, I had to complete 24 hours of Lutron contractor education and licensing just so that we could use our own house lights properly.

Although I never write service reviews, this was one of the worst experiences I can remember. I contacted Echo Workshop to replace one (1) Lutron switch, which resulted in a total cost of approximately $650.

Echo sent an initial technician that stated no power was going to the one switch and recommended their electrician. An electrician came out and stated power was active, but just required a replaced switch. On the 3rd visit, the switch was replaced but the technician terminated app functionality/connection to the entire system and Echo stated a new bridge would be required to activate the system back to app functionality.

Since I was clearly frustrated, they offered to leave at that point at no cost (with a terminated Lutron system and for me to find an alternative provider to fix their mess) or pay a “reduced” amount of $600 (before tax and fees) for the system to be reconnected with a new bridge.

After $650, I am now back to the same position prior to contacting Echo – one light that does not work, a system reconnected to app functionality, but with a cracked dry wall after the technician removed/broke all the Lutron switch plates to get back to original functionality.

Pam and Luis are great! Trust worthy and know their audio equipment! They are continuously learning new up to date technology and have great ways to hide and automate audio and visual equipment and speakers. I hate seeing wires and they do a superb job hiding everything! Love them! Highly recommend!
